Harvest Fest 2015 a success thanks to community support

Laughter and smiles filled Faith Plaza this past Saturday, Oct. 24 as kids crawled through a box maze, coated caramel apples in sprinkles, rolled around in corn looking for prizes and much more at the 2015 Harvest Fest hosted by Hope Full Life Center and Abounding Love Christian Fellowship.

5K Run for Orphans

The weather was brisk, but that didn’t put a damper on Justice for Orphan’s 5k run that kicked off the day’s festivities at 10 am. The overall winners were Judith Wines and Steven Longden.

Local talent shines at Harvest Fest

World Kanreikai Karate put on an awesome show that included students breaking blocks of wood! Kelly Slingerland and Shane Aldean dressed as characters from Disney’s movie Frozen spent an hour talking with kids and having dozens of photos taken. Dean Davis, Ravena’s own reptile expert, delighted some and terrified others with the tarantula, snakes, frogs and other critters he showed and discussed with the crowd. The Ravena Fire Department wowed the audience by starting a fire and putting it out as they discussed the protective gear fire fighters wear.

Thank you to our sponsors & volunteers

Hope Full Life Center is a small charity with a small budget and we couldn’t pull off Harvest Fest without a lot of support from local businesses. Some donated money or gift cards or merchandise for our raffle. Others gave us free or low-cost services we needed to make the event a reality. All helped us make Harvest Fest a success and we are enormously grateful!

Also critical to the success of the event were our volunteers. We couldn’t have pulled off such a big project without you. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

At least 500 people attended Harvest Fest to enjoy the activities for kids, the demonstrations mentioned above, concessions sold by the Ravena Fire Department and the vendors selling crafts, produce and other items. We’re proud with the outcome of the event and the outpouring of love we hope we showed to our community. We’ll see you next October at the 4th Annual Harvest Fest 2016!

Thanks to our sponsors!

What a heartwarming recap of Harvest Fest 2015! Events like this remind us how powerful community spirit can be — when people come together with a shared purpose, incredible things happen. The caramel apples, the karate demonstration, and 500 smiling faces are proof that small organizations with big hearts can create lasting memories. It's honestly inspiring to see volunteers and local businesses rally behind a cause without hesitation. This kind of collective effort reminds me of group projects during my studies, where everyone had to pull their weight to succeed. Those experiences pushed many of us to seek Law Assignment Writing Help UK services just to stay on top of demanding coursework while still participating in community activities. Thank you,…

Comfort increases inside a supportive environment, meaning individuals feel backed throughout the process. Beside that, The College of Contract Management links this to transparent communication. Moreover, there are external aspects like social media or disruptive environments learners which will not get the best outcome from the study.

I read the Harvest Fest 2015 recap and it was great to see how everyone came together to make the event a real success and help the community feel closer. It made me think of when I was rushing to finish a big report and had to use Affordable law project editing to fix my work before class because I was stuck on details. Seeing this reminds me that teamwork and support can make hard tasks feel easier.

I read your post about Harvest Fest 2015 and how the whole community came together to make it a success, and it really made me smile thinking about how people helping each other can turn a big event into something fun and warm. I once had so much school work that I relied on write my assignment for me help just to catch up and not feel overwhelmed. Your story reminded me that support from others can make tough times feel lighter and worth celebrating.

A site that focuses on quality apparel always benefits from highlighting well-made outerwear pieces. Vanson Jackets keeps that standard high with their latest drops. One standout in the middle of the collection is the headquarter x carhartt jacket, offering durable cotton construction and a clean, functional vibe suitable for everyday use.
