Center hands out Blessing Bags full of groceries

Updated: Jan 29

Hope Full Life Center was excited to give away 50 bags full of free groceries to struggling families in the community the week before Christmas. This was the third year Hope Full Life

Center Inc., a Ravena-based charity located in Faith Plaza, fed local families during the holidays through its Blessing Bag project. Providing extra help for struggling families has never been more pressing due to COVID and record unemployment.

With $30 donations from the community and some of our own resources, the Center’s volunteers bought food, packed bags and distributed them through Helping Harvest, the food assistance program run by the Center. The bags were full of kitchen staples such as pasta and sauce, tuna fish, peanut butter, cereal and other foods that offer a variety of flavors and nutrition.

Thank you to the Ravena branch of the Bank of Greene County who partnered with us on this project by collecting donations. Many members of the community, including local business TCI of NY, helped to support this effort through donations and we’re thankful for each one!

In a world too full of vitriol, anger and hate, we were excited to share kindness with our neighbors this Christmas. Thanks for supporting our effort.

Hope Full Life Center Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit recognized by the IRS.
